Right, I was supposed to be getting rid of T to Florida for 10 days from
Friday, but the rest of her family can't get out and she doesn't want to
    go on her own.

So, if the flight goes and she doesn't, I forfeit the fare. If the
flight is cancelled then I get a refund, but that's looking unlikely.

So what say the FOAK? I can't ebay the ticket as it's a prohibited item,
however the airline is currently charging £460 more for her seat than I
paid a couple of weeks back. Is there a way of selling the ticket or am
I going to have to forfeit it?

    I've got a ticket - all I need is a working plane.

There are lots of those, just no working airspace.
