    Yup.

Try updating the display driver on the PCs concerned if there's a newer
version available, or leave the FAH client running in the System Tray
only (so it doesn't load OpenGL to render the protein). Or uninstall it.

There seem to be numerous reported problems with the FAH client's use of
    OpenGL to draw pretty pictures.

Christ! What the hell does that one do best then? My CAD/FEA packages do
seem to be telling me to buy a Quadro based card though. Pity I can't get my
employer to stump up the dosh (£1400 iirc).

I must admit that I used to be a green team fanboy until a couple of years
    ago.

But since the red team released their non-bridged pci-ex gpu's, things have
    swung a lot for me.

Reds are out benchmarking on viewperf consistantly at matched price points,
and they have the bang for buck race well won at the moment.

Green were solid with unified drivers across consumer and workstation
products, and seemed to have a lot more app support, but the reds have
caught up - maybe even supassed them with driver stability over the last
    couple of years.

Thy all have their strengths and weeknesses, so choose wisely for what ever
you are working on - 2d / 3d / dcc etc - both teams have targetted
    offerings.
