Isn't it, or did you mean It?

Or I might want to be a sheep and jump on the bandwagon.

  3. And there is no root cause at all for it? Or are you just content to
recognise the outcome and not the cause?

Things don't happen in random isolation. There is *always* a reason why
things happen - some of which are susceptible to immediate analysis ("I
feel miserable because my cat died") and others are not ("the Celtic
    Melancholia" AKA Hiraedd).

What you are effectively saying is "I accept that stuff happens to me
that I don't understand or control" (which I don't disagree with) and
then extend that by saying "and I won't bother to analyse causes".

The best (odd word to use) ones I have been to lately have been Humanist
    ceremonies.
Any way of turning the evening after in to a proper wake, with live
    acoustic music and story telling?

    <loud voice> So can I and I don't care what these fuckers think :)

Losing sense of self in altered states (however those states are
    accomplished) is um, interesting.

  8. I realise now that it is not help with your homework you require.
Not an original thought in your head?

What is it with you people that you have to rely so much on the views of
others to be able to express your own? It really does piss me off. You
claim to be bright so why the **** don't you use what nature gave you or
maybe you are planning a career in journalism?

    Aw shucks.

  9. Wrong. It's perfectly understandable.. Just as the 18th century poets
were understandable *if* you know the concepts behind their use of
    language.

Sure - it's a little flowery but perfectly consistent with the
    language-structures of various Middle-East languages.
Because it's designed to evoke a sense of contemplation into motive.

And the fact that it's about adultery court is largely irrelevent - the
theme is "examine the motives" and that's applicable to a lot more.

i'll see your pot noodle and raise you a pop tart, corner slightly chewed
by a mouse who decided he preferred phone cables and gloss-painted
    skirting boards.

The evening before when I'm staying with my oldest friend rather than
at my family's house will be like that, but it will be just a few of
us. It will be enough and will ensure I don't rock the boat at the
funeral. My mother and I are already disagreeing but we should be able
to resolve it. Also it will be the first time I've seen Debbie's side
of the family since she died and I'm not looking forward to that bit.

And to bring this full circle I'm pretty much decided (and have
    parental agreement) on reading this.

    "She is Gone"

You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she's gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on."

    they're filth.
Pot noodles are worse. Some instant noodles are OK (Blue Dragon, for
example), but Pot Noodles taste like dirt.

And generally (especially the dark stuff) much less sugar.

  19. Sound and words over pictures any time.

Although I do remember the sessions at the Planetarium in London where
they did music & lasers in the main dome which was good.. This was in
the 80's though so they probably don't do it any more.
