OT : Is there a tool...

    That will gather up the contents of an html based website; jpegs and
    all, and dump it structure intact on to your pc so you can plop it on
    to your new webspace when its up and connected ?
    Virgin(ontheridiculous)Media have cut off my email/ftp access etc etc,
    but I can still see my old webpages at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/dwbrown/

    yes. wget will do recursion.


    wget -rk http://homepage.ntlworld.com/dwbrown/ should do it.

    As well as wget there used ot be something called, IIRC BlackWidow that
    was good. It seems to have morphed into Inspyder Web2disk
