    Any recommendations for good ones?

Thinking about catching up on the 4 years of lost skills, C#, .NET, and
a management course thrown in for fun.

I've had a look at LearningTree and their courses seem a good match to
be able to build on my current skills, and teach you useful stuff.

The MS courses just seem to have one aim, to get you through an MS
exam, and from the description contain a mind numbing amount of "this
is a mouse, this is a screen, see the cursor move...", so have been
    ruled out.

I've been on hand-on courses before and like them, Learning Tree do a 4
course package that seems to work out at roughly £3600 + 16 days hotel
    bill.

<JFGIs> I see that LT run courses where there are 2 per PC, hindrance
    or OK?

In the past I've been sent to QA Trainings center which I liked, but
    their website seems dead?

    Any other centers?

Is PRINCE2 the UML of PMs?

What I mean is, as a developer, I've managed to convince interviewers
of my (very limited) Rational Rose/UML skills in order to get a
contract where it was a "prerequisite" but then never *actually* had to
    use it.
    Well done.

I used to find it a bit of pain with fairly frequent, short term
extensions as it didn't help any planning (holidays etc) more than over
a fairly short term. Still, you've just had a holiday so no worries on
that score for you. Still waiting for the complete report, mind...

they're not the same, if that's what you're asking, but of course they
are related as in they're both about project management. I've not done
either - only Prince 2 practitioner (but I don't really need anything
else as PM-ing is only small part of my job)

Imagine the relief of the National Debt if they had just employed you at the
    outset.

We probably prefer not to imagine the size of your manly "corporation" by
September mind. By all accounts it impressive already.

it's not bad. On the other hand, I'm just releasing someone I took on
on a 3 month contract in March 2003, and I'm aware of one other
contractor who's worked here for over 10 years.

I need to find a reliable plasterer, plumber, roofer & carpet fitter,
so any of those would be good ta.

Oh, & an estate agent as I've given up trying to join Rightmove.
