On the very race chance there is anybody driving from Leeds to
Oxford in the next week or so i could do with a Bull Bar and
side steps for a Range Rover bringing down. Recompense in
the form of beer tokens handed over.

Exactly how many wild bulls and/or 'roos do you have down there in Oxford?

So why do you need 'roo bars? All they seem to do is increase the
possibility of death/serious injury to people you might hit and damage to
chassis parts they're bolted to in the case of a collision, as well as
making you look like a cock whilst driving in rough, tough, downtown UK....

I assume you have a bunch of 'always on' fog lamps already, yeah?

    <snip>

As if getting hit by a RangeRover without Bullbars would make any bloody
difference at all to the blunt trauma. The front bumper alone is over 1/8"
thick steel, and just at pelvis height. You get hit by a RR, you *stay*
    fucking hit.

  4. actually it would. ask the peeps who got swiped by one a few years ago
on the way to the NABD rally. Dave will remember more but ISTR that
their injuries were exacerbated by the bars. the NABD had a campaign
    against them.

Bonnets crimple. Bull Bars don't - you think that there's no difference
then I volunteer you to be smacked in the head by me, first of all with a
baseball bat with 6" of foam on it, then without. You think that'd make any
    difference?

    Oh don't knock those completely.

    They're a very handy medium-range **** detector.

Its to bolt a rather large winch to, so that when cars competing on
rallies in forests etc get stuck i can winch them out.

Funny that, i do have the front fog lights on the vehicle but no switch to
turn them on, i will have to get round to investigating this.
