Overly restrictive? Perfectly reasonable IMO and, had they been
introduced in places like Cornwall, or even Wales, might have allowed
some of the locals more of a chance of buying homes.

I can buy a house here - they don't care. If I get deported, then I
still have to pay the loan.

Basically it's my risk - not theirs.

There are also open market properties anyone can buy - they just cost
    loads.

Oh sure - they definitely cost more - never argued that.

What I enjoyed most about having a OA was the flexibility. Being able
to use money if needed to proved a HUGE benefit over the few years I
had it - both with the issues I had last year and particularly with our
    recent move to Guernsey.

A normal mortgage would have not have allowed that.

I'm loving it - 5 minute commute (at most), fishing most weekends,
    decent food etc.
    No regrets whatsoever.
Yes, I did note the large amount of your company's cheap(ish) shite is
    in the Checkers :)

Cool. It's a bit quiet and small for my liking.... but I do kind of see
the appeal. I do prefer Jersey. St. Hellier is quite lively in the
    evenings.
    Admiral Park?

That's one of the one's I opened a few weeks back.
