Have you got any idea which Goodwood event that was for... I'm guessing
one of the Revivals looking at the placards above the bays: "St Mary's
Trophy". I'm also almost certain that I saw that car at this years
event... just behind it is the tow start lane; Big loud sounds came out
of there all weekend long from both cars and bikes VVBG.

I've always like the idea of a sleeper car/bike... Get an old boring
vehicle; an old Mk1 Astra van was the best one I've seen so far... stick
a fast engine in it and work on the suspension and brakes a bit so it
stops and goes round corners better than standard... just don't bugger
about with ride height, non standard wheels/tyres or fancy exhausts.

Heh... theres a chap up the road from me here in Grove, Donald, he
races in tarmac rallies and autocross style events.

He's got (or at least certainely had) a little white Corsa which
looked totally standard apart from the Compomotive wheels, and the
iirc 2.3L tweaked Vauxhall Frontera block.

First time he took it out, when we went to see him, it was running in
1st place in class untill 4 laps from the end where it sheared a
driveshaft clean off.
