    Good point.
I measured the consumption of the amp (rated at 420W but consumes about
170w at idle) but guessed at the sub.

Interestingly (well for me anyway), it appears that my power amp
consumes 170W at idle too despite being rated at 550W. I'm glad I no
longer leave that on 24x7x365, though it was always lovely to come in
from a winters' ride and pop my hands on the enormous toasty heat-sinks.

Horse will use it for an hour or so on Grandprixtourismodeathrace12 on
getting back from school, and then it'll be on for the news and then
entertainment into the evenings. Say 1700 till midnight, 5 days a week,
    that's 35.

Over the weekend, I'll watch the news when I get up at about 7, then the
Grandprixtourismodeathrace12 goes on when the lad gets up and then the
box will be on and off during the day and get used through the evening
again. Say 0700 to midnight, twice with a few hours off for good
    behaviour, that's 30, giving a total of about 65.

Add in a night a week when T falls asleep in front of
    Murderdeathalienpredatorghoststory6themusical on UKbollocks+1 and we're
probably not far off the 80 hours.

Now, if we were to add in total screen time with the kitchen telly, the
new monster in the bedroom and the PCs, then that would be quite scary!

I doubt our TV is on for half that, and I reckon I watch it for less
than half the time it's on.

It doesn't help that there's mostly complete shite on, mind.

<fx:waits for Champ to tell me it isn't>)

    Yep - that's a whole hour a week...
I don't like SC, so haven't tried it...
    Some are OK, not all...
Tried one episode - got bored quickly...
    Nope - don't do "culture"...
    Never heard of that one!
you != me, and for that, be thankful!)

This is one of the very few things that I watch myself [1]; utterly
    brilliant telly.

Quite how they've managed to be so brutal with the characteristics of
both of them and the relative merits and dis-merits of their careers is
    beyond me

You do realize that it was a spoof chat show?

He was good in 'On The Hour' and 'Knowing Me, Knowing You' on Radio 4....

Yeah, me too. And Ali G, perhaps the worst.
He's an irritating little twat, always plays pretty much the same
    character.

I found it fucking hilarious, in fact, the best thing Coogan's ever
    done[1].

[1] though I did enjoy 24 Hour Party People, for various reasons (not
least Hooky's comment on the casting).
