It's all a bit precious, really. As far as the bloke is concerned, I cant help feeling he'd have been much better off if he'd won it ten or twenty years later. It struck me that a lot of the reaction to him was simple jealousy, although he didn't help himself by playing up to the image. Personally, I thought it quite sad that at 22 someone's life was so fucked up by booze and money. When I first saw him I thought he was in his late 30s.
