  1. I am an ancestor now.

    A boy type sprog, 8lb 4oz at just before 5 this morning.

    <thoughtful>

    In some respects I can see me as something of a role model for a young
    lad in these troubled times.
    </t>

    So that is me in the market for a modern catapult or two then.

    Good innit.

    Congratulations Grand-dad.

    You do realise that it is in your job description to be bad influence
    on the sprog, dont you.

    At last!
    The title Granddad can be *accurately* given

    Best wishes to the poor parents that now have to have *their* parent
    advising them on the upbringing for the next millennium

    Excellent. He won't need a copy of the "Dangerous book for boys" with
    you around I suspect.

    A minimum of 6 years (hopefully) before I stand any chance of joining
    you in that club.

    Don't worry I shall do my best to make sure the little chap is as well

    Congratulations. However, having seen all the comments above I feel have to
    remind you of the possibility that, despite all your efforts, he may turn
    out to be a polite, studious and well-behaved child with ambitions to become
    a chartered accountant or suchlike. I know it can be hard to contemplate
    one's descendants going off the rails like that but sometimes it just works
    out that way.

    I have 2 girls who are now of legal age, and another girl who is 16 this
    year. By my reckoning their 13 year old brother will beat them all to
    parenthood.
