It's trying here in Gloucestershire; little flakes but with big gaps in
    between

....and it came back again about 4.30pm and we've now got
a good base layer for it to carry on into the night.

That'll be the trains fucked tomorrow then.

Here too, it came mid afternoon, then melted just enough to refreeze
as a layer of black ice.. Then a short while ago snow started to fall
again. There's currently a light dusting of white on everything and I
reckon it'll easily be a few inches deep by morning.

Hmm, it snowed quite hard for a bit here (Nottingham) but now mostly
    clear skies.

Nice snowstorm when I emerged from the Chunnel about an hour ago. Some
snow on the ground here but it's worse towards Folkestone.

It was trying first thing - when I left about 9.30 to go riding there
were little flakes drifting about but they got blown away by the
    baltic blast.

Had a more serious flurry just after 6.. it's settled on the grass and
melted on the paths. It's now mostly clear with scudding clouds and
fucking freezing, so I expect I'll go a-over-t in the morning.

I gave up trying to fit a tail tidy to the thou earlier. The snow was
blowing into the garage and it was fucking freezing.

Same here. I always hope to get an attack of common sense when it snows or
it's icy but I never seem to be able to refuse the challenge of riding to
    work come what may.

I was on top of Painswick Beacon about 4pm - it was brilliantly
bracing, but there was no snow.

But there was enough to cover the roads in places about 7:30pm
