  4. I'm going to take the last week of Feb off work. I've a mate coming
over, and we're going to hit the slopes every day. I'm hoping to see
    some significant progress.

<AOL> and the kids have recently found my old C&H books, so I'm
    chortling away most nights.

  7. I've no doubt there will be rush of volunteers to help you sort them
    out.

  8. Isn't it? No buses at all in London - I made it to work with a
trudge through the snow and then the Victoria Line which is running.
Central London is quite eery with no buses at all and snow all over
the place - inches thick on Victoria Street.

I'm the only person who has made it in so far and I suspect it might
    stay that way.

There's not much chance of me making it anywhere. District line
suspended, buses cancelled and no trains. And Wandsworth council don't
seem to have bothered gritting half the roads (I can see a bus route
from my window and it's white), which is understandable given the
absence of any snow forecast over the last two weeks.

Jolly good. I'm up to around 30 days this season, and progressing
    nicely, TYVM.

I am not going to even think about going in to university today. I can
connect to their network from home and I have plenty to do.
Keep an eye on it or I suspect you may not get home this evening.

Following up to ones original post.

It's snowing now, fun this morning on the bike, one rear wheel
spin up, feet down at work as first it, but fun all the same.

One shall keep one's gob shut next time.

Typical monday morning commute for me, I awoke a little earlier than
usual, sometime before 6, went downstairs and made a cup of tea,
returned upstairs, had a soak in the bath then got dressed and
proceeded across the landing to the spare room, where I'm now sat at
    my desk.

No major traffic incidents to report.

    Sounds like bliss.

I've had a running commentary from V about how it's snowed outside and
the movement of any car in sight.

    I'm starting to get stabby.

I've got about 4 pages of a document I need to get finished off before
a 10AM call, and just didn't feel like doing it on Friday or over the
weekend... Plus when you work from home 60-80% of the time you find
it just becomes another work day but without the commute, so an early
    start isn't anything special.

Send her outside to measure how deep it is, then lock the front door.

She'll see the funny side, I'm sure.

AOL. Alarm went off 0715, got up and got a coffee (and switched on the
car heater) around 0735, got up again 0750, left for work around 0815,
    got in by 0845.

I had quite a few overtakes to make this morning, as the usual
over-cautious twats who insist on driving at 30mph just cos there's
some snow around did their usual thing. Only one slightly dodgy moment
when I had to get back across the thicker snow/sludge in the middle of
the road rather sharp-ish to avoid oncoming traffic, and felt the
wheels pull a bit as they crossed it.

    I fucking love this car.
I was feeling a bit shit, so worked from home on Friday, and actually
took the laptop back to bed with me, finally getting up around 1130.

Ohm the ribs are still not 100% mobile, but finally the physio seems
to be working, so I'm only taking painkillers on an as-needs basis,
which sometimes might mean none at all in a day.

    I'm leading a 4-day off-piste holiday this week, and another week-long
one in March, so I've been pushing myself all season, not just to get
fit enough to do four full days of mountain-guided off-piste skiing,
but also to hone the technique, and automate the reactions, still
further and thereby minimise effort while maximising style and
    enjoyment.

Seems to be working so far :)

The snow had been forecast by the UK Met. Office since last Friday.
