OT Snow

Feet down in work car park as first in and nobody had cleared a path.

Bike rack (covered) was fun stopping downhill, bit like a speedway rider for
a second.

AOL. I got up at 9.10, came downstairs, made a cuppa, rolled a fag, &
am currently reading emails & UKRM. I expect I'll commute back upstairs
in 10 mins or so.

I got stuck in a small cat tailback on the landing, but it cleared very
quickly.

There wasn't here half an hour ago. Now it's chucking it down, &
everything's looking very white already. Should get to you by lunchtime

Just bee to our sheltered garden to measure. 5" so far. It's been coming
down all morning.

Looks like it's just easing off, but we fully expect worse from about 1300.

SWMBO didn't go in.

It took me an hour and three quarters to get from Bracknell to
Maidenhead.

 

I'm not going to tempt sods law by denying the possibility but we are
protected by the Mendips. It usually all gets dumped up there before
it gets to us.

Err no.

As the MetO, GFS et al had forecasts for weather like this since the end
of last week I thought it was worth pointing out. Whether (no pun
intended) the media made enough noise about it is not the fault of the
forecasters.

 

I suspect you'd get away with it anyway. It's virtually stopped here
now after a mere 1/4" & the wind's died right down.
