OT Sort of, it is about speeding

  1. I occasionally used to wander in to the High Courts in Glasgow and
Edinburgh for a look/listen at the miscreants. Quite amazing, some of
it. The Sheriff courts were a source of much interest and amusement.

Rubbish. Sentencing should ignore demands for vengeance by victims,
tabloids et al, but should properly consider the perp's history of
    transgression.

Maybe he thinks they should have been executed for the murder?

I think they should still be inside but that's because I'm a bad
tempered, intolerant bastard when it comes to those who murder young
    children.

A reasonable and rational sentiment when you're talking about the crimes
    of an adult.

Were you the same person at 26 as you were at 10?

I'd stopped committing murder by then because I knew I'd be inside for
    longer if I was caught.

You scamp. Everyone knows you kept up the killing but just went
somewhere you could do it with impunity. So long as they were black,
    anyway.

OK try this: It doesn't present any information as to why they were
speeding. Possible reasons: Stupidity, ignorance, incompetence, being 'Hog.

That assumes they were all doing it deliberately. Which I doubt was the
    case.

I legged it from SA when I was 23 and the government decided to offer
me a career as a professional murderer in the SADF.

*sigh* Or they are incompetent, didn't see the sign, couldn't be arsed
to get their speedo fixed etc etc.

If you can't identify the drive that is supposed to be a defence. I am
sure some people try it on but I for one an uncomfortable with copping
for something I may well not have done.

Remembered another scenario, when there were four of us in one house
and four cars we were all fro a time insured on all vehicles. For
local journeys it was pretty usual just to take whichever was easiest
to extract, certainly never considered it necessary to keep records.

Err, all of those "excuses" amount to "doing it deliberately". In the
eyes of the law, at least.
