it seems the german server has been refusing to speak to the rest of the
world today - all posts from dan's at 6am to your's at 4.18pm came through
to the virgin & cheesy one in one batch

Gesticulates from sunny (warm enough to to sit out on the terrace for
    coffee after lunch) Limousin.

No snow here, but might be some left at Mont Dore.

Never mind that, what about "living"? I'm lost on that one.

To be fair, a lot of them haven't got much choice. Honda, Jaguar, Land
    Rover, Toyota...

Heh, I did wonder if you were enjoying it or reliving it or what.

But yes, you're right. I suppose I was thinking a longer sentence than
I could be bothered to type.

Surely Mmo and critical flutter speed would be more relevant? And I'd love
to see a swallow exhibit a Prandtl-Glauert singularity.

Yet I had to put an appearance in from 07:30 until 21:00 today just so
you lazy bastards can put fuel in your cars. I hope you appreciate
    what I do for you...

I no longer have the choice, not for the next month or so.

Turbines falling apart again. Everyone gets twitchy this time of the
year when demand is high so to have a turbine taken out of line when
it's supposed to be supplying a refinery isn't considered a good
    thing.

I work on things capable of delivering weapons of mass destruction so
stick your national security up your arse. You only look after the
    merkins and they don't count.
    No chance.

I did it for the money, I'm not going to be driving anywhere from when
I get home at lunchtime today until we get back from our holiday.

It was a bit of a shit because we had to leave Thornbury before
breakfast on Sunday so I could get on site at 4pm on Sunday to have a
look at what needed doing, work all day yesterday and then I'll go in
there in about an hour to get job sheets signed up before going home.

I really could have done without it because I was off sick Thursday
and Friday last week and rather than being right for xmas I coughed
until I puked last night. No matter what they pay me it ain't enough.

Pretty much my experience last week - at home Thursday and Friday with a
stinking cold, then Saturday catching as much restorative sleep as I
could before the 9.30pm-8.30am stint for the money, general health be
    damned.

  18. That's easy. It's the bit between the boredom and stress. I'm sure it
    will happen someday.

    You money grabbing ****.

I've just been and spent some of the overtime money on my way home, I
just look on it as retail therapy but it would have been cheaper to
    buy some cough medicine.

I turned down loads of similar work earlier in the year because it fucks
up any chance of going for a ride on Sunday morning. I might as well
make hay while the weather's shite.
