  1. .... but then falling downstairs probably always does [1].

One ankle twisted under me and now can put no weight on it. If it's not
any better tomorrow, I'm going to have to struggle downstairs and call an
    ambulance.

    One week before the exams. ****, ****, ****. :-(

[1] this morning, thus not alcohol-induced

    GWS.
Is it perhaps divine retribution for your regular posting
    of bollocks on UKRM?

  3. Heh. Well I did spend the whole day dealing with the consequences of a
near-miss (i.e. we didn't fall, but the centre stand 'peg' was caught on
his bodywork, and SO's left leg took a swipe of grime from the car) on a
scooter with an uninsured driver who only pulled over 'cos I forced him to
... _and_ dealing with an SO who says, 'you're not a policeman!', until I
told her that her scooter was fucked, and that the law allows me to
forcibly detain someone who's 'failing to stop' .. and then consoling her
as she discovered that I was right and that the 150EUR she'd have had to
pay would now be spared her thanks to me ... _and_ trying to spend an
afternoon in the Uni. library reading but unable to because of the pain in
my ankle and the ignorant arsewipes who refuse to take heed of the
'silence' notices ... and then giving up and taking SO's scooter back to
her place, wondering if the back tyre (against which the stand now 'rubs')
was going to explode on me, and then walking back up to the Madeleine
church to get a taxi out here ... and making _fucking_ sure that my
seatbelt was fastened that time. :-(

Like many buildings in Paris, mine doesn't have a lift. :(

It has been an .. erm ... eventful day.

So stay in bed and revise.
Something to do with forgetting to pull up your pants after photographing
    your arse?

Well it certainly looks horrible but then, for all I know,
again the left one might be as ugly.

I have been in plaster for five weeks now having hit a deer (in the car
thankfully, as I often go that way on the bike). Ruptured my achilles
tendon and then got a post op thrombosis. The warfarin means I can only
drink in moderation. I am so bored I now find myself posting on
    here.... aaaghh

Mmm no you can drink as much as you want as long as it's the same quantity
between blood test. It's sudden changes in alcohol, food etc that
changes the affect of warfrin. As long as your're INR is between 2 and 3
    then it's doing it's job.

Only 2 more months to go on mine (6mgs a day) whoo hoo

I was on 10mg a day to start with plus the injections in my abdomen but
this is only 2mg now. When you say drink as much as you like between
tests, I assume you mean a constant daily intake rather than say 7 days
    @ 2 units and the following period 2 days @ 7 units, 5 days @ zero?

Ahh the hiprin jabs - fecking hurt they did
Yep constant intake is what I mean, you don't really have to reduce your
intake either. If your used to having 2,3 or 4 etc cans a night carry on
    having 2,3 or 4 cans a night.
