Having spoken at length to some of the guys that serve on subs I can
confirm that they're very well hidden. When they're on exercises the
hunter-killers don't know where to find the missile subs because even
the navy don't know exactly where they are.

Obviously a good guess can be made as to the location of potentially
hostile subs but in the event of an emergency a lot of time would be
wasted carrying out searches before anyone knew where to throw the
nuclear depth charges.

Point of Order Madam Chairman Ma'am. The unions did not abuse their
power ether blatantly or otherwise, they were merely doing what their
membership wanted them to do which just happened to be totally within
the law of the land but equally totally at odds with the wishes of both
church and state and for that the law was changed and their power
neutered.

And if it is abuse you want then you should be looking a decade and half
earlier at the time of The Great Communist Infiltration.
