As part of my workshop extension, a ShiteOldPC's going in, so I can
tweak CADCAM drawings whilst the mill runs.

I need a small monitor (15" or smaller), capable of 1024 x 768 for that
machine. Anyone got an old one surplus to requirements close to North
    Herts?

NP, it's a swap for the exMiL. Still doesn't seem like good value
    though. :)

I have a spare Compaq 15" 1024x768 - you're welcome to it if you can
pick up or arrange collection from NE Hants (I appreciate this is some
way from you but the offer's there).

Ta. I'll see what happens with Petrolcan's one if that's OK ('cos he's
    not too far from me).

Bah. A while ago, my (only) monitor died. As I had no access to ukrm
or the web, I had to get one from Maplins. Perhaps I should lay in a
    spare now?

  10. (Looks at spare monitors cluttering up the garage)..

1x15", 1x17" (much cheapness!) and one Sun
specific (with the old-style video connector that matches the
SparcStation 5 in my computer room) 17" jobbie..

I know someone who's got some 15" LCD monitors going, but they're not
free. Let me know if that's what you're after.

Ooh, "close to" is all relative, innit?

I'll have to ask Suze, but her "footrest" fits the description; 15" (I
think) Packard Bell thing, definitely do 1024x768 'cause it was doing so
    only recent, loike.

Well, yes, but that would take up room that could be hosting tools.
