I run a little app called Fail2Ban on my server.

It monitors intrusion attempts, things like multiple incorrect log-ins,
etc, and then bans the IP they are coming from for a period and sending
me an email with the details.

I've had a few of them from machines in Yahoos IP range recently.

Forwarded the email to the abuse email addy provided by nslookup.

I've had two replys now from complete fuckwits who simply cannot
    understand.

I even explained in "I'm speaking to a 9 year old" language in the
second email and got the reply quoted below.

So, anyone got an email addy of someone with more than 5 brain cells or
do I simply permanently block all of Yahoo?

    Dear Hermes,

Sorry, you misunderstand my abuse report.

A computer that uses an IP address that is part of the address space
Yahoo administers (i.e. it is connected to the Yahoo network / using a
Yahoo ISP) is infected with a virus / bot and is trying to spread to
    other computers on the internet.

My server (nothing to do with Yahoo) was probed by this infected PC. My
server detected this attempted hacking attempt and produced an automated

report with the details that are below.

If this is not clear, please forward this email to your supervisor.

    Yours,

    Richard Wood
