Well, if you encounter something beyond your experience which you don't
know about, it's better to keep quiet

    because it's true

    because that's how I stopped from 60/day

I just decided I didn't want another cigarette, I stopped mid afternoon
with one cigarette left in the pack, no craving, no willpower required,
    I just stopped

no withdrawal pangs, I just stopped

no desire for another cigarette, I just stopped

Are you beginning to get the picture ?

I feel there must be justification for the Away Team regulars to embark on a
Continental Tour stopping exclusively at ukrm-owned establishments. I'd
guess it could be done in under a fortnight, possibly on conveyances
    conforming to the Frankfurt Rules.

They'll need tents if they want to stop at mine.

Sure. We've still got some stripping and painting to be done - we'll
    even provide the brushes.
But... but... but, why? Is life otherwise too easy for you?

There's a thought. A UKRM working party could be of great assistance at
'the chateau'. A have a variety of sharp implements with which to hack
down the excessive undergrowth and wayward trees.

Hang on, the usual suspects let loose with axes, machettes, sickles and
    a chainsaw? Perhaps not.

Aye, it is teeming. Chuck a few bread crumbs in and the water boils. The
local herons seem to like them too. Pic here:

Heh, and cider of course. The local stuff is really quite nice.

What exactly are you quoting other than ""bollocks" ?

or put another way which statement are you failing to understand?

The bit you snipped, you twat.
The answer the the, now thrice-posed, question, which you seem unable
    or unwilling to address:-

OK stop me at the point where it gets beyond you

1 - I used to smoke about 3 packets of Marlboro / day

2 - I tried on numerous occasions to give up with willpower and
determination, usually worked for a couple of hours

3 - one day, early afternoon, on a Wednesday I think, I reached for my
cigarettes on the desk, there was one ciggy left. I just thought "I
don't want that cigarette", I chucked it

4 - From that point in time, I have not a) smoked another cigarette, b)
had the faintest desire for a cigarette, c) used pills, potions or
mechanical aids to stop ... no withdrawal symptoms, no excessive
wanking, I've put on weight,. but that's through excessive drinking

so at which point have you got confused about the "no willpower" bit

And for others, even if I have to repeat myself, it is
counterproductive to think in terms of "giving up". I didn't know my
last cigarette had indeed been my last cigarette until some months
later. The process of continuing to postpone my next cigarette was
quite the opposite of "an instantaneous process", it was a gradual
one, and succeed only because I always had the comfort of knowing that
I hadn't "given up" and could still have a cigarette if I really
    needed one.

    I suspect the question is

"How is there a difference between not wanting another cig and not having
the willpower to not have another cig".
