It's fiction. I just went up in Schindler's lift. That's reality.

Welcome to 1993. It's a film well worth watching. It's still #6 in
the IMDB Top 250 films. Beautiful soundtrack too. The general theme
accompanied by Itzhak Perlman is a beautiful and moving piece on its
    own.

If you're looking for something along the same lines then The Pianist
is a good option. I'm not easily shocked having been weened from a
very early age on gore and violence, but I had to think when they
entered a high floor flat to find a disabled Jewish person in a
wheelchair having dinner with his family and then push the wheelchair
to the window and chuck him out.

    Don't worry about it.
If he doesn't surface soon then it'd be appreciated by my parents at
least. If we know where she is then I can get hold of her and find out
if they need anything. He's one of those 'self sufficient' clowns
that'll just sit there and worry about it all when the reality is that
if he needs to get her home then I'll drive down in his car and ride
his bike home for him while he drives back up.

Note for the curious: Big brother threw himself, his wife and his BMW
GSA in an untidy heap on the floor and she's now got a couple of
plates she didn't have before. The problem is that we don't know where
she is due to a certain person leaving his mobile on the table at home
when they set out. He's spoken to Paul and to my parents but not for a
few days so we're starting to wonder what he's up to.

Did you resist the urge to shout at the cinema screen for the final,
mawkish, colour section? Did you marvel how Spielberg undermined the
    message.

What makes it all so hilarious a decade after the film's release is the
Zionists in Israel may want to take a close look at themselves.

  13. Cinema screen? It was on the telly.
I'm far too shallow to know what the hell you're on about.

  14. I think Sweller may be referring to Israel's actions towards the
Palestinians and in particular, the views of the extreme right wing Jews
in the parliament. I could be, and probably am, wrong though.

Thanks for the offer but I suspect he'll want someone he knows to turn
    up if anyone needs to.

Finding out where they are would be a good starter. Paul suspects he
can pin him down to within a few miles but David hasn't been in
contact with Paul since the accident. My being on the island didn't
help because I was using a local sim card for the duration.
