    Frankenstein pictures for your amusement.

It looks as bad irl as it does in the pictures and I'm really not sure
what the **** they've done to my pinkie from halfway up because it was
bad before but not *that* bad.

I'm hoping the finger will be better once the swelling has gone but if
nothing else I suppose it's an improvement on being permanently bent
at right angles to where it should have been.

2nd one looks sore. Still, as long as you can hold a glass, you're ok.

How useful was it for nose-picking?

I'm glad I didn't have sausage and mash for tea after all.

Actually looks like they've done quite a neat job, and I suspect that
curved scar isn't going to be a hassle for all that long. You could
at least have cleaned the shit off your fingernails for the first
    picture though.

Going off those pics, I'd say you're fucking lucky to still have a little
    finger.

What did you do to it? I have a scar *exactly* like that one, from I
dunno, 20 years ago, still aches in cold weather. Btw, What did you
    think of Generation Kill?

It's shaping up to be pretty good so far.

I'll either u/r it to you once I've finished it or you can go and
waste a fiver at your local Tesco.

The damage was caused by a series of acts of stupidity over a number
of years but I suppose the final nail in the coffin was bending it a
bit too far when I was sledging at this years Elefantentreffen.

Generation Kill seems ok so far but I'm only a quarter of the way
    through.

That should do the trick then.
Sneaky bastards aren't they? I'm sure you'd sooner have the bone graft
now rather than have to have another bout of surgery in 6 months time.
I was peering down the end of the plaster trying to spot the tip of my
finger as soon as I was back from surgery because they'd threatened to
snip half of it off. I was pretty confident they hadn't because I was
only out for about 90 minutes but you have to check.

Heh, happened the other way around for me. I went in to surgery being
told they were going to skin graft my big toe. I woke up and they'd
cut the bastard thing off instead.

"Sorry, it was a bit more mushed up than we thought"

Heh, that was the first thing I noticed in the pic - I'm watching the
first ep of the series as I type.

Good grief, both of you. Particularly Andy's hand incision. And that was
    private healthcare!

The spectre of plate removal looms for my wrist, as things running over it
    seem to be getting tighter.

Crikey. For the both of you.

I'm getting worried now, cos my right paw still isn't the proper
shape. It "feels" like it's got a bend in, like yours, Neal.

Big lump on the knuckle, and the hand won't sit flat on a surface.

I guess I'll have to go see my GP.

Maybe it'll get fixed before the MIB cough up.

Ha, I know about this sort of thing.
I'd be more inclined to sort out your private medical insurance.
Not if you wait for the NHS it won't be.
