Our Court System...WTF?

Well, the date came around for the trial I had to appear on for
telling a guy to "get back to work". I've been thinking it was all
silly as hell. They wanted me to post a $260 bond and so on. It was
    getting stupid as shit.

    I thought...

My wife and I got over to the courthouse on time and made sure our
case was on the docket. We sat there patiently waiting. The city
attorney came into the court and greeted everyone. He asked if there
were any teachers present. At this point, I'm thinking it was like the
classroom studies where Government class has to go and sit in court,
then write an essay on how courts work. Nope. Not that at all. It got
WAY more stupid that just that.

When the first case was called (starting with "A" and working their
way through alphabetically), three adults walked up there with one kid
about 12 years old. At this point, I'm thinking we're about to hear
some good cases. As my ears perked up, I heard what was being said. It
went something like "you were in a fight at school in the
lunchroom...". HUH? It turned out, by hearing what was being said,
this 12 year old kid was in a fight at school, taken to jail,
arrested, booked, sat in jail for a day (not juvenile detention), and
then was appearing in court for nothing more than a push match at a
school cafeteria. WTF? Judgement? $260 fine, time served of $100/day
and had to pay the remainder of $160. The next case was a girl who cut
Spanish class. EXCUSE ME?!?! You might've guessed...$260 fine and had
to go to anger management classes. The next case wasn't much better. A
14 year old 7th grader who fell asleep in class and caused a
disruption. $260 fine and had to write an essay and turn it in to the
city attorney's office. I looked around and that's all that was there.
HOLY SCHMOKES!!! WTF? I took a vacation day for THIS nonsense? This
was the most retarded shit I've ever witnessed! All these fucking
republicans crying and whining about our court system being over-run
with "frivolous" cases, and this is what's replacing them? I had to
sit in this silly shit for 2 and 1/2 hours until my case was called.
Sure enough, the guy I told to get back to work didn't show up. I
asked the city attorney if he wanted me to write an essay too. I then
went on to say I thought I was sitting in the principals office.

I then asked if I too would be able to get one of their "excused
absence" notes they were giving out to the others before me!

Do we in society not have anything better to do with our legal system
than haul 12 year olds into court to fine them for pushing in the
lunch lines? Do our police not have anything better to do than to be
hall monitors and take these 7th graders to jail for sleeping in
    classes?

    WTF?!?!?!?

Becoming a bona fide Thug is a process of many steps. Intervention by
someone/the justice system during the 'baby' steps is more cost effective
and has a better result than waiting until advanced thugism is achieved.
Ignore these 'minor' infractions now and they'll grow into leaning fences.
    Then you got some problems.

...and up to this date, I thought the silliest shit was to file a
$20,000.00 personal injury lawsuit against the son of a person who
open hand slapped the top of a $400 motorcycle helmet...

...personal injury lawsuits like that, arrest warrants filed for
leaning fences, criminal charges for telling a person to "get back to
work", 7th graders being arrested and taken to jail for a day for
    sleeping in class...WTF?!?!?!?

BTW, what you wrote was funny...but I just can't seem to laugh about
this anymore. This legal system we've allowed to take into our society
is completely ridiculous. When a person has to cancel meetings and
take off work to appear in court for nothing more than telling a
person to "get back to work", we've gone completely nuts. In all
fairness, there was ONE other case where it was an adult that day.
Same charge as mine, but the person didn't appear. The woman who filed
the charges appeared in that case. It amounted to this woman driving
down the highway, getting cut off and then she followed the car (the
one who cut her off) to the gas station where the driver of the car
(the one to get charged for a crime) flipped her off. She filed
criminal charges against the driver who flipped her off...for flipping
her off. She spent more time and effort on that silly shit than just
simply tapping her brakes, avoiding the car, and going on her way.

It must really suck to be you. Being up in a shit hole that's cold and
having nothing better to do than to sit on a newsgroup where you don't
know a single person and just wait to sling insults to one of the
    people in the newsgroup...

Sad shitty life you seem to have there...I believe I could find
someone around me that actually cared about me and I cared about them,
rather than to do what you do.

LOL.. Don't you get it ? The dude is fucked in the head.. He's obviously
queer for Walkers and has been trolling and stalking our posts for years..
Response to his infantile bullshit is an exercise in futility.. He don't
    have
a motorcycle, probably has never ridden a motorcycle and just selects
someone from various groups to stalk and piss with.. <chuckle>

The "Ignore" button on my computer is such fun to push, I can't resist
anytime I see one of his posts.. Try it and see for yourself..

========JayTkana here: Brian I really dont think you are fibbing about
the ''teenage cases'' above, but:::::: Damn, I struggle, finding that
    hard to believe.
Did you show up in juvenile court and didnt know it? If not, I wonder
why your particular case was held there?

=Lets see: One 14 yrOld Kid fell asleep in class, was cited and was made
to appear in court, and was found guilty, fined 260. --another Kid, who
was only 12 yr' old, was in court for fighting at some schools
    cafeteria,and was fined, 260.--
--And the third case was a Kid cited for skipping a spanish class, found
    guilty and fined 260.
=Brian, doggone 'you' sure you didnt sleep more than you remembered
while sitting in the court room, and your imagination/dreams kinda got
the best of you, a bit. (just messing with ya) (chuckle)

Yup, the guy is definately a nut case. It's flattering to know that
someone would go to the trouble to sitting in a newsgroup where he has
no business just to post about me. Then again, as I said, it's sad
that he has nothing better to do than to stalk and hurl insults at
someone he doesn't even know and has never had contact with.

Nope. Not juvenile court. It was Municipal Court. I even went back
outside at one point to double check the docket. I kept asking my wife
if I'd heard it right and she was freaked out as much as I was.

According to the city attorney there, they handle almost 400 cases
like these a week in that court. They were referencing other school
kids and pulling files on them to work through the cases at the time.

It was completely bizarre! What was more bizarre than anything were
the adults who acted like this was all "normal"...

Yeah, use it to someone who takes offense to it and you'll be looking
at a $260 fine and a day in court....whether they chased you down to
    see it or not!

yearnings to cyberly seduce Walkers.. The boy got no balls.. LMAO

Actually Bri-boy, the same could be said about your life. Your so called
"Colonial Networks" company that you used to boast about so much is long
gone, you resorted to scalping PS3's on ebay to make a buck, and now
you're in court for who knows what. What is wrong with you? You and your
daddy have harassed so many good people here that they have stopped
posting such as Albert Nurick, Bownse (Mark Johnson), Another Viewer (John
Moran), Sunny Williams, and the list goes on and on.
