Further to below. In a holiday induced state of madness, I referred to
    our Managing Director as
a modern day Mussolini in response to an e-mail he sent out to myself
and a couple of other people. I then sent it
to him. I have done the following: - Recalled the e-mail so that it is
deleted - Recalled and resubmitted the e-mail
with a new message Both times I requested confirmation that my recall
was successful. What do you suggest I
can do before he returns on the xxx and literally throws me out of a
    very high window?

    Greetings,
I have attempted to recall an e-mail sent earlier today. Do you perhaps
know how long it takes to receive
confirmation that this has been successful?
The recipient is away until the Xxx so the e-mail would not have been
    read.
    Best Regards,

    From Outlook help:

"You can recall or replace a message only if its recipient is logged on and
using Microsoft Outlook and has not read the message or moved it from their
    Inbox."

Best bend over and lube up...

    Bwahaahaahaa!

IME a recall does nothing other than send a followup saying "So-and-so
would like to recall message xxxx .....".

Which (of course) makes me instantly read message xxxxx .....

You can nicely ask the IT people to remove it directly from Exchange [1].

[1] assuming your company is using Exchange

I *really* don't see the problem. If he is anything like me he would
take it as something of a compliment. Expect rough bareback riding
vaginally, anally and orally, as primary reward, followed by a small pay
    rise.

    Claim the laptop was stolen.

Either that or claim a medical condition.

Maybe you should read the post more carefully - including the subject
line. I'm still employed, Luckily for him so is the culprit.
