We've written up this year's trip to Bavaria. It's just a personal
diary but I know there are a few, like me, who like to read about bike
trips to foreign parts. You'll find it here.

We're doing a UKRM trip over that way next year. Do you want to put
your name down to come along?

    Nice write up.

I like Bavaria too. I must do the bit inbetween Lake Constance & Achensee
    sometime.

I was in Austria a few weeks ago (not on the bike) and took trips to
Achensee & Berchtesgarten. Nice view of the Konigsee from the bus station
at the entrance to the Eagle's Nest lift shaft. Views at the top were
    hopeless due to cloud.

The road past Tegernsee down to Munster is an excellent alternative to the
Fernpass if anyone is travelling south from Munich to the Tirol.
Here's me at Tegernsee in 2005, travelling south on the way to Slovenia.

We could see the building on the top of the mountain from the
    Konigsee.
There are just too many places to see. We'll have to go back sometime.

So the child catcher didn't get you in Rothenburg o d Tauber, then ?

    Nice one, centurion.

    Wow.

Not enough photos of Pat, by the way.

There were probably more, but some aged beardy geezer kept getting in
    the way.

The child catcher was shot in R odT

The father of the person I shared an office with, was in charge of the
    museum

He promised that if ever MacD ever set up shop there, he would
personally blow it up - he didn't, ... wimp

    The castle was neuschwanstein

  13. Enjoyed that. Ta. Bigger pictures next time! (Might be nice to have them
opening in a new window, too)

The area we're heading for is Loh/Thurmansbang-Solla. It's tucked away
in the hills about 35 miles NW of Passau and under normal
circumstances would be very quiet. Obviously it's not as quiet when we
hit it but it's still quite relaxing.

That depends on a number of factors that are out of my control but I
    don't expect to be cold.
