Kinell, that's the first time I have had to pay more than £80 to fill the
tank in a car. A grand total of £80.89 to fill up my SAAB 95 1.9D
and the tank wasn't completely empty at the start. At least being diesel
I get reasonable mpg out of it, even with my heavy right foot.

My Focus has tipped over the £60 mark now. It's the most I've ever
    put in a car.

BMW takes 68 quid from when the light comes on.

    Small tank.

I filled up before the increase on 31 Dec and it cost me 121 bloody quid. It
    will be even more now.
Mine dew, the damn thing weighs in at 2.5 tons but a full tank still gets me
over 650 miles so probably about the same mpg.

Not a huge tank in the Focus. Used to be around 45 quid.

Back when we wore goalposts as jumpers, I could fill the tank in my MKI
Escort, buy a packet of fags and have chips on the way home for a fiver.

2.5 tons. That's light for a Centurion. Is it easy to park?

  9. I'm looking to put a 30l tank on my KTM 950 SE[1]. I have this
horrible feeling I will see paying over £40 to fill it before the year
is out. £40 for a fecking bike......

    cheers

    SS

[1] 14l doesn't get you too far when arsing around off road round the
    Pyrenees[2]
[2] and can be more than 20miles to get back on tarmac, "then" I have
to ind a petrol station - all with a 4l reserve.....

    £40 for 30 litres is 133p a litre.

According to petrolprices.com national prices range between 121p and
138p a litre for unleaded, and as high as 146p for super unleaded.

You say horrible feeling, I say dead certainty. You say before the year
is out, I say next week.

What's more weird though, is I always seem to have put 10 quid into
motorcycles. Must just be some quirk of where the warning light comes
on, but they always seem to be a tenner from the light. Going right
back to when I started riding.

That was always true of the Bandit 12, too. 100 miles, coughcough,
    fuel up - tenner.

Not any more, though - I'd noticed it creeping up to twelve quid, but
    it's over 15 now.

    Really?

You might want to check someone hasn't put a Hippo in your tank or
something. You're doing about 8 litres to reserve.

The GSXR was 11.68 the other day. So that's going out the window as
    well.

Best sell the child to a friendly chimney sweep.

The new toy is over £30 with a very red light, the nearly new toy is
around £24. The older toy is halfway between the two.

I want my TS185 back, that'd be under eight quid.

    The KTM is about nine.

Wouldn't exactly use it for touring, mind.
