    1. Madam, whilst watering the garden, decided to lean over the
    bannister thing on the decking, rather than walk round it. It
    collapsed, and she's now sporting a healthy selection of grazes on all
    four limbs.

    2. Muggins, on popping downstairs to put the kettle on, missed the
    bottom stair, and ended up in the living room face first.

    We both thought each event quite humourous at the time, but the joke's
    beginning to wear off, now the pain's setting in.
