    Hi Guys

In celebration of the impending end of my self imposed penury, I'm going
for a ride !! A good long one.

I'll be doing an Oxley run the weekend of the 26th November, come hell
or highwater. Would be nice to have a few people along to have a beer
with at day's end. Intent is to maximise laps of the Oxley, so for those
of you with a more touring bent you're welcome to say "boring, I'll
pass", but there's always scope to take a different route and regroup at
    Walcha on the Saturday night

Rough itinerary I had in mind is something like:

Friday night 25th - drone up the highway to get to Gloucester and stay
overnight (circa 2, 2.5 hrs ride)
Saturday, Thunderbolts to Walcha and then Oxley Hwy to Wauchope or Port
Macquarie for lunch, then another lap back to Walcha - stay overnight at
    the New England Hotel
Sunday - another lap of the Oxley then down the highway to the Nabiac
motorcycle museum OR two oxley laps and back down Thunderbolts and the
    Putty

    Any interest ?

Awww crap ! Now you're just being difficult !!

<sigh> I might just have to do both on back to back weekends. Standby
for a potential re-alignment of time

    JL
(then again there'll be fewer cops and bikes on the Oxley that weekend ;-)

Next subject the bleeding obvious !! We all know the above to be true -
it's like ragging on Nev for the appropriateness of his email address.
Sounds good, if you'd like to go on the email distribution list for
further discussions on the topic please send an email to

OK guys, having had a bit of a think and an email discussion, I'm
sticking with the original plan as per previous post. I've got 3 in for
    that weekend.

Sydney to Oxley run, Weekend of the 26th/27th. Lots of corners, lots of
times, repeat until exhaustion or you run out of daylight :)

Laps? Did some feeelthy bastard say they've recently done laps???

I'll supply the birch branch - you'll have to complete the self-whipping
    yerself.

    Bastards, the lot of you!

    :)

    Cheers,

Wow, that looks exciting - lol.

Hmmm, as for the oxley hwy... should I go for the 5th (or 6th?) time this
    year?

What time would you depart Gloucester on the Saturday morning?

Yeah well, I did say self imposed penury. My choice to tie up all my
    weekends*
Open to discussion, at least one rider is known for not liking getting
out of bed, but I won't be keen on missing too much riding time - 8,
8.30 probably. That'll get us onto the windy part of the Oxley by about
    10.30/11 I guess.

    JL
    *ie I'm fucked if I'm saying I'm jealous, you c#@# !

NFI. Haven't looked yet, but there's heaps of backpacker places and such
there - not planning on being too fancy but the motels there are pretty
    cheap as well.

I'm in the area, and could catch up at Gloucester tonight for the run
tomorrow, although I'll probably keep heading north on Saturday
    afternoon.

Do have a mobile number? Or give me call on: oh four one four, seven
    nine five, triple seven.

    cheers, Bill

Where are you planning on staying in Gloucester?
I'm considering trying out my new 1 man 1 woman tent (didn't want one of
those 2-man varieties), so how about the c'van park on the river - turn left
in town heading north. Very bike friendly and the crowd that run the joint
are pretty cool (funny in all respects - especially 'looking').

    :)

I think you've not read carefully - this is next month - November not
tomorrow (oh I wish it was, tomorrow I will be staring at a computer
screen and flicking through books all day)
