Would go well on an R100GS...

 

Twin-plug head would, as well. And a means of adding a second front
disc.

 

They are very tempting but a bit fragile. Standard twin plug heads with a
good gas flow, BMW sports cam and a 10.25:1 compression (1) will give all
the performance the bike needs with more reliability. Remember you can't
change that bloody gearing.

The Krausers are worth £150 each tops JB, I've seen mint unused go for this
through the BMW club during the past year. I will give £300 if nobody else
bites?? <emailed>

(1) needs pistons machining slightly and very careful professional setting
up...and a fucking good battery.

 

I wish I could get bolt-on 4-valve heads for my Guzzi motor. I run PHM38
pumpers with 'larger than average ports' on my old spada trike, but it still
needs more flow (and 9.5+:1 pistons). Oh shit! I forgot, it's a trike these
days so my mates say I won't need all this will I? Bollocks.
Mind ewe, a trike does allow for a decent battery.

Wi' a trike you can run 24v 'leccy!

Let me know about the heads, cash tomorrow if you want it? I just happen to
be in 100RS stripdown mode for said gas flow or I wouldn't have bothered.
