  1. Those dates I bought for you on Monday...

    I've eaten them. Sorry ;)

From a purely novice POV, they came in a box about the size of 2 packets
of Bensons and came in three layers. The first layer, the dates were dry
and sweet, fleshy and a little bit chewy. The second layer... oh my
God;wet with syrup and almost too sickly to describe... Very sweet, very
soft and almost didn't make the journey from box to fingers to mouth,
    they were that soft.

I put them down a couple of hours ago but fancied another one or six but
I can't find where I've bloody put them.

They're not under the sofa cushion, providing a nice warm sticky 'realistic'
feel are they.... (I have to admit even *I* feel a little ashamed just
    typing that....)

Nah, slippery's what you want. Sticky would be too.. well, sticky and
would probably interfere with the ol' Jap's eye clogging it with sugary
    flesh.
    Don't worry about it.

That is the trouble with nice ones, they just don't last long.

These were the Iranian ones I presume?

I confess I ate one in the shop but I couldn't resist when I got home
today and started eating them in earnest.
Yes. The only other information I have on them is that they have "BAM
    Sun dates" on the box.
