As has been pointed out, if it stung you then Mr Bumble it most
    certainly was not.

Sooner is better with the specs. I'm famously fucking useless with
    schedules (just ask Zymurgy).

I have already made the greatest contribution to the fight against climate
change that I can make: I have decided not to breed. Now quit bugging me and
go and talk to the Catholics.

    Oh look, this is silly.

That's three UKRMers who have been stung by bumblebees, when crn has
very clearly told us that the .uk variety do not sting.

They can't *all* have been asylum seekers, FFS!

They were all stung by the same bee - although it wasn't a bumble bee,
just a foreign bee in disguise.

How do you get bees to cut your hedge? Do they sweep up the clippings
    afterwards?

The cunning bastard! A sort of Stealth Bee, eh?

Hang on a sec, how does it recognise UKRMers?

It's those fucking stickers, isn't it? Or is it because they didn't blur
    their numberplates in photos?

Ah, they can do that. Cunning little bastards.

On a side-issue, someone I know in California was bitten by a
rattlesnake a few years back. A *BIG* fucker.

He shat himself, and made a *very* high-speed dash to the nearest
    hospital.

Turned out the thing never put any venom into him, so he just had a
couple of puncture wounds to keep clean. The doc said "Yep, the big guys
are old enough to make a judgement call on how much (if any) venom to
put in. It's the little ones that are dangerous, 'cos they'll get all
excited and give you the *lot* in one hit."

Well I certainly didn't until this post made me google, but that
knowledge isn't a key part of the humour of the strip, is it.

The most probable explanation is that many people cannot tell the difference
between a bumble bee and other varieties. Male bumble bees cannot sting.
Female bumble bees do not sting unless under threat of imminant death with
all escape routes blocked. Please do not persecute an innocent endangered
    species.

That's absolutely right. The big furry bodies are in no way a give away.
And the fact that they don't leave stings behind. No. They were probably
    wasps in drag. I expect.
I'm glad we've cleared that up. Because loads of people have been
suggesting that they can. So, if you lift their little tails up gently
and check for a dick, you're OK, right?
    <examines thread>

No, I'm missing the bit where persecution was advocated.

It'll be fucking Bear again, won't it? Proposing taking off and nuking
the site from orbit? He's such an old over-reactor.
