How does one go about getting one? Or is that a secret?

As an individual, you can't apply. However a suitable (read military)
    employer can.

    You can't.
    No, but it is arcane.

Just like SC and DV clearance over here then. "You can only get it if
we already want you to have it." Genius.

You can still be denied, but yeah, I know what you mean.

Another couple of weeks then, if you don't buy any more fucking bikes.

On a similar note, I was watching The Daily Show last night (god bless
More 4 - now there are *two* tv channels on Freeview I can watch
without slipping into a coma!) and they had some bod or other on there
discussing his new lefty book. Canadian dude, just taken US citizenship
after something like 20 years in the US, so he can vote.

"If another left wing jewish homosexual in New York can't tip the
    balance, who can?"

"One of the questions I had to answer on the form was 'would I fight
for my country'. I figure the day the ask 40 year old homosexuals to
join the army, it has to be worth the fight. The day I'm drafted, the
moment I get on base I'm heading straight for the showers."
    heading straight for the showers

The bikes I've bought have all been pretty cheap, to be honest. I
don't count the Ducati, since I haven't paid for it yet.

What cost an arm and a leg was the new kitchen.

Well, at least you'll be able to cook a nice bacon sarnie in style when
    you get home.
