Paging: Cane

I put a Givi screen on the V-Strom and there was a sticker on it. It
says don't park so the sun's rays strike the inner surface or it may
cause a 'lens effect'. WTF is that?

 

Also a problem on 1500 Wings: in bright sunshine, the sun shining
through the screen causes localised heat build-up, like using a
magnifying glass to incinerate an ant. Deformed, melted dashes are the
order of the day.

 

SD is correct. Power Bronze had a problem with this a couple of years
ago, I think it was well documented. It's rare and unusual but still
possible. The sticker is them covering their arses.
