On the subject of TZ750s... watch this space, negotiations are afoot.
Haha, I may well be getting one... a ride that is, not the bike. A certain racer friend of mine has been asked to ride one in a classic series next year. So far he definitely has Philip Island, Spa and Assen lined up, with other rounds in the pipeline. It's looking more and more likely as time passes, and it means I get a trip out to Philip Island as well if the deal comes off. When I worked part-time at the Kawasaki dealers that were in Bedford in the 80s, I sometimes helped Woody the mechanic prep his ex-Len Manchester[1] TZ750 before club meetings, doing tyre/wheel changes, brake pads etc. It was the actual bike that Keith Huewen had made a name for himself on, before moving onto the SDC builders TZ350 then 500GPs. [1] Now back with Len Manchesters and in Huewen's old colours again; when I was working on it the thing was painted Kawasaki green cos our shop sponsored Woody.

I have no idea, but I'd reckon prices would vary depending on history, provenance and race/chamionship wins
You weremade for classic racing, you know. After seeing the band on Saturday night in Chimay, it was observed that there'd be something useful for you to do both day and night.
That'll explain the advanced age of many riders, and the collection of motorhomes in the paddock at Chimay. OTOH there were bikes other than top-dollar Manxes being raced.
Just go and buy an old TZ250 and do a bit of proper racing. Trying to keep one of those in the power band is miles easier than trying to keep it running properly.
