hah - Blaney doesn't really drink any more himself - it'd be a tall
order for him to get me drunk before he passed out.
    even less likely, I think.

Not a thick Dalston one like what he's got.

was that when it switched from Young Mr Wotsit to Middle Aged Mr Wotsit. It
certainly got less interesting after that.

The transition was particularly clumsy, although I can see how a marriage
of convenience can do that to someone.

I've got a backlog of recorded stuff to watch so I doubt I'll bother next
    week.

nah, just not as much as I was expecting going on past "performance".

I reckon the Blane had about 1.5 bottles of wine in the 2 weeks I was
there. Me, something like 2.5 in the same time - which has made me
feel pretty damn healthy, all things being relative.
hah - I reckon I could have had[1] the manageress[2] in the "Game
Zone" shop we were in where Blaney was buying some weak-ass child-
friendly Wii games; I was explaining to her my dire and urgent need
for a US-sourced PS3 Network Card "Top Up" and she was lapping up my
tales of "how cool London, Engerland was, despite it's annoying lack
of support for Region 1 PS3 content".

[1] she hand-wrote a Colorado Springs telephone number on the back of
the receipt for said Network Card top-up; I've not had the balls to
check yet whether it's a personal number or just the number of the
    store...

[2] general note to "GAME" et al. in the UK: hire reasonably fit
chicks as manageresses in your geek-emporiums - you *will* sell more
    shit...
