I heard a kicking piece of music on Spanish radio recently, which I
thought might be your thing. It's the Modeselekor remix of Bjork's Dull
    Flame of Desire.

The original, which doesn't do much for me...

The Modeselektor remix (for boys), which rocks...

They've also done a remix for girls...

  2. Cor, what an opportunity for a coke and specialK with added strobe lighting.
A bit easier to listen to, but for me, it felt like it was working up
to something and then fell a bit flat.

Blimey, I thought you'd have been well up for the bit phat DnB version.
    Agreed on that though.

  5. Oh in the right situation for sure, not exactly afternoon at your desk
listening though. Not for me at least.
Having said that, I'd hate for someone to fo all 'Euphoria' with it.

hey that's positively tuneful - so, don't try this one, uncle!

Autechre's "Gantz Graf" - #2 stepson listens to all sorts of crap from
Joy Division through '90s death-thrash-core (or whatever), Screamo and
    - FFS - Bloc Party, but even he has pronounced this track to be "just
noise" - I fucking love it; probably why I have nasty tinnitus in my
left ear at the moment, mind.

whilst I don't mind any version (the girls version is a bit, well,
girly though) It's not quite my bag. Though yesterday I went through a
"rewind" moment listening to Tiesto's "Adagio for Strings", so maybe
I'm getting back in touch with my "techno side".

I also reviewed some of my own old dub/breakbeat stuff from the mid
'90s yesterday. **** me, but I should have made a better effort to get
a recording deal, as it sounds better to me now that a lot of
    contemporary stuff.

Ow, ow ow. I thought my hangover-headache had gone, but that's just
    painful.
    He's not wrong.

  9. He's right, although there's a definte hint of Prodigy, Voodoo People in there.

It's significantly preferable to the original.

I've been listening to the new Autechre album ("Oversteps") quite a bit
recently. It's their best for some time, I think - but if you're more
into the "Gantz Graf" end of their spectrum, you may disagree...

In other random Autechre news, I quite like this, too :

I got bored with that one. I don't have a lot of Autechre, but from
what I have Basscadet ranks at the top.

there's a "He-Man" joke to be done here, but I can't quite grasp it...
    Happy to help.

oh, the old stuff is good - I'm pretty sure I recommended Basscadet on
here at least 7-8 years ago. Yulquen is also a favourite of mine, but
    then I do love minimalism.
