If you do get time a nice thrapping can be had out of Brighton to
Ditchling Beacon, Underhill single track into Westmeston (or go via
Ditchling village) then the B2116 to Lewes, then B2192 to Ringmer, B2124
Laughton and onto Golden Cross. Either A22 then A 267 to Horam or
through the villages on the unnumbered B Rd - Golden Cross > Muddles
Green > Hale Green > May Garland and then Horam. About 35 miles.

Either way very nice Cafe, with added motorcycle shop, at Horam. Good
thrashing roads, no cameras. Guzzi TWA action and suspension slapping
    sections.

Its great! Fly, land, lose control of the shiny pipe cleaners up front,
corner badly, laugh like a mong on holiday.

Route numbering confirmation brought to you courtesy of my 1974 OS maps.

Reckon? For the dog with the smaller bite?

Shirley "veni, vide, returni" would be better?

  6. Aye, I do [1]. This Saturday's no good for me though, SWMBO is off on
    a course all day so I'm pulling daddy duty. There's a semi-organised
rideout this Sunday morning starting from P&H Cycles in Crawey to
Beaulieu (all ex-ART pupils), I'm trying to find out the kick-off
    time.

Failing that, next weekends looking good.

[1] assuming the bumbling B6 is capable [2] of keeping up in any sort
    of rideout.
[2] okay, were talking about the bumbling rider here, "bad workman /
    tools" situation.

Had a go at this route at 7am this morning.
    Where it gets particularly exciting
I made it 21 miles. Do you get the extra miles when you take off?
    Is that Wessons Café?
Indeed. Lovely route. Thanks for posting it. Visibility can be a bit
tricky early in the morning when roads are wet and the sun is shining.
I'll work my way up to these elements gradually, if you don't mind.
Bounce, wobble, corner slowly-ish, giggle like an infant.
    Worked fine for me. :)

Looking good for me too. Fancy a go at sweller's Ditch and Whore route
    (taken sedately to start with)?

You're at East Grinstead aren't you? I'd be coming down from Croydon,
and could meet up somewhere near you.

They're pretty fast and clear roads.
To be honest, the 35 miles was a guess.
Yes. Steve Wesson used to be a Guzzi specialist, had a shop in Brighton.
He still does Guzzi stuff and still has second hand parts, but not as
much as he used to. Gary still has the workshop a few doors down. If
you ever need Guzzi work doing I'd seriously recommend him.

Steve concentrates on the cafe and bike gear. Good range of Bering
jackets, gloves and the like, which I really rate. Prices are pretty
    good too.

They certainly are. IMHO, with the exception of the roller-coaster/
rocket-launcher bit downhill from Ditchling Beacon. YMMV.
And I made a booboo on resetting my tripmeter. I think that it's in
    the high twenties.
Will check it out. Do you know what days/times the café is open?

    Ta muchly.
