Only for the Russia trip, IIRC, or did you do the Mont Blanc thing as
    well?

Any opportunity to post a link to this is good in my book:

Is that legal in the States?

Not to forget the Ruf Yellowbird footage:

    Probably depends on the state...

  6. Pikes Peak.
It's a walk and a scramble. The reason I'm not looking forward to it
is that it's 40degF cooler at the top than at the bottom. So you
start in brilliant sunshine, nice and toasty at 80degF, and you
actually have to dress as you go. 40F is really too cold for my
    liking.
Understood. I never take you as sarky, anyway.

  8. Fucking brilliant event.

Having driven that road in three different cars, those clips are even
    more awesome to me.

And which was most fun? I know when we did it in the porker the road
was chocka, so we never got over 30mph, but is it always like that?

My money would be on the truck.

I think it's legal in several states...

    fantastic.

The amount of time he has the car travelling in the same direction the
    nose is pointing is minimal.

I met him once - genuinely nice fella.

exactly - he makes the almost impossible look easy, which is a true
    measure of talent.

Happy days - I used to be out every year for the RAC in Hamsterly,
    Kielder, the Lakes ...

Looking at the Pikes Peak thread also made me think of Walter Rohrl.
There's a great picture of him going sideways with a front wheel way
over a precipice. I can't find it, so these'll have to do.

Well I could have said something like: "**** off ****, you had loads of
fucking thanks, including the fucking DVD I made. ****."

    But I didn't.

  18. That was the busiest I've seen.
The truck was okay, but heavy on the brakes. Had some accidental
tail-happy moments on icy uphill hairpins - that frightened the
inlaws. We went up in K's allroad a few weeks ago - that was pretty
    good.
