Perhaps your talents are currently wasted

"Gurcharn Sahota works on some of the world's fastest cars at his workshop
just outside Derby. But if you're used to spending £5 on getting the car
cleaned at the local garage, forget it"

Though some people are completely nuts

  2. Not really.
£7000, 4 weeks. 45 quid an hour, assuming he works 'normal' hours.
Hardly scandalous or life changing amounts of money, and not that
    dissimilar to my (detailing) rates.

And if you can afford a Veyron, do you really think you even care to
see the invoice for the "car wash"?

And what the story doesn't tell you is that he rarely gets jobs that
need 4 weeks worth of solid work. I've seen a 160+ hour detail and
while the results were absoutely stunning, the start point was ten
    times more disturbing.

"If one of my customers wants to respray a million pound car it could
    cost them up to £100,000.
"Give it to me for a couple of weeks, I'll charge a fraction of the
price and it will look even better."

The job I mention above ended up costing RollsRoyce a cancelled order,
because the owner decided to keep the car that he thought was beyond
saving (for professional use), because he was so impressed by the
    results of the detailing.

One can be too literal you know
I just can't imagine what could take 4 weeks! It takes 4 days to strip it
    and repaint the entire body.
