I believe that Mr Dodger may find a kindred spirit here:

Wingin' on speed, sort of thing.

Looks like he recently hit a grouse. Is is just me, or did he nearly peel
off into a layby at around 50 secs?

    Anyway, this one here:

is pretty spectacular - scary lean angles, committed braking deep into the
    corners, the lot, basically. Enjoy.

The wife just woke me up. It didn't look particularly spectacular to me and
I was waiting for some scary lean angle footage, but none ever appeared.

Haven't heard "Big Country" for years.

I'm not expecting to grow flowers in the desert
But I can live and breathe and see the sun in wintertime.
And in a big country, dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice, fires the mountainside.
    Stay alive.

It's not that, he's bought a GoldWing and had his lean-angle sensor
    recalibrated.

  10. Isn't he just?

I am probably being very unfair but the rider did appear to be in
possession of WUN's teddy bear. Given that there bikes in front showing
the line of route and many corners were fairly open I'm struggling to
quite why so many brake applications were needed. SD certainly hussles
his Wing round corners without such a display of red.

I had the TB thought too, but I was too polite to mention it. I'm
sure you're right about SD, although I wonder if he corners sometimes
like I used to on my RF - 'cos there's a lot of red light on the back,
it is a bit obvious when the rider has a touch on the brakes, so many
times I'd knock it down a hard one and pray to the (less than
consistent) God of Engine Braking on a closed throttle, then wrestle
the bastard round the corner with sweat prickling in all sorts of
uncomfortable places. Then repeat on the next corner, and the next ...

Laser-etched screen art. G'wan, you know you want to.
    I reckon you're about right.
Heheheh. Shameful, especially on a GL18.

There's more than a whiff of familiarity to that. Often no need to
knock down, unless I'd got all adventurous and changed up into "OD".
Many cross-country trundles have been conducted entirely in third, or
    fourth, gear.

Main reason is there's no point in trailing the brake into a corner on
a 15. Cos they're shite. The brakes on a 18 are brilliant, but then,
    so is the chassis.

I reckon there's one spot on that vid where he *needed* to brake.
