BBC2 Review Show. Arlo Guthrie, sporting very white hair, is the musical
    end to the show.

    <sad>
I used to play Alice's Restaurant endlessly when I was about 12

I once [1] performed Alice's Restaurant at the house of the Minister
of Tourism for the Punjab, in Chandigarh.

One of Pat's daughters is a friend of Abe's (Arlo's son), and one of
her grandsons is named Arlo. Pat's mam had to write the name down so
    she could remember it!

    [1] Wednesday 19th August 1970, in fact.

Tried Ebike? You can have up to 4 bikes with them. UK breakdown included.
No CIHAGM and a few reports of wank service if you claim, but no worse than
most. I've used them in the last 5 years, car & bike, and they got
paperwork to me on time when I changed cars.

Are you going to blame that on drugs or senility?

  13. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Colin Irvine
A few years back I was in a car on the way home from the pub, trying
(without noticeable success) to explain the "Alice's Restaurant" concept
to the other occupants of the car. We got into the house, and flicked
the Haunted Fish Tank on just in time to find Arlo in full flow.

They still think I arranged is specially...

Serendipity is the theme of the song.

I love Usenet. How else would I learn that the real officer Obie was
the model for several Norman Rockwell paintings?

I occasionally use this philosophy "Until we came to a side road, and
off the side of the side road there was another fifteen foot cliff and
at the bottom of the cliff there was another pile of garbage. And we
decided that one big pile is better than two little piles, and rather
than bring that one up we decided to throw our's down."

He's also the son of Woody Guthrie, which on its own gives him a
    certain cachet.
