I seem to recall you posting a route to get to Hulland Ward from the SE that
didn't involve the motorway or (much of) the A5 - any chance you could post
it again as I'm currently looking at routes and the one I did the last time
I went isn't really appropriate this time round :)

Probably the wrong side of the M1 for you..

    How about the A429, A46, A4177, A452, A446, A38

    Mostly fun roads that way.

Surely any route to Hulland Ward from the south should involve the
    A515?

It could, but I feel the twisty back lane from keddleston to hulland
more than makes up for missing the 515 off.

IIRC that's only a couple of miles though.

Anyway, changing the subject completely, you expressed an interest in
changing the ZRX when we were at Donington. If you're still thinking
about it what mileage is on it and roughly how much do you want for
    it?

I think I'm just going to keep it and buy a new bike when cash allows
TBH, I went out on it the other day and had such a laugh I know if I
sold it I'd end up buying another sooner or later.

Still plenty of life in the old dog with only 21K on the clock..

Fair enough. I knew it had a few miles on it so thought you might
    punt it out cheap )

Ginge? He'z just ziz guy, you know?
I gather this '515' you speak of is worth detouring a bit for?

    So <looks at map> I suppose A5 -> A38 -> A5206 though Lichfield and
onto the A515 would do me.

That's the one and most of the reason I ever turn up at an *OSM Sunday
    morning.
