Would I be correct in assuming you know something about the home
broadband market in NI?

My rellies are looking for some sort of cheap[1] ADSL/phone bundle -
any tips? (They're in Bangor, BTW).

[1] more important than fast.

 

Do you mean IP-telephony or standard pstn/adsl.

For UK residential adsl on top of a normal phone line Zen seem to be
good as I said here recently.
Rainbow in NI do a residential CPS phone service which is decent and
can also supply adsl.
For cheap as chips there is

Not that they'd be all that interested anyway, but I've checked, and we're
not over there yet. I think NI is all old-skool POTS and IPStream
