Has V filled out your census form yet?

So far, I've discovered that T doesn't know if she's been in a same sex
civil parnership, can't spell her employer's name, nor the street she
works in, nor the county we live in. Of course the fact that she filled
in the work details against Horse's name isn't great either.

I thought it would be hard to beat the recent "the new kettle doesn't
boil the water as hot as the old one" incident but she's gone and done it.

I wondered if anyone else might be having similar "issues" and for some
    reason I thought of you...

    not anyone else's.

Eh? What possible business is it of the state, whether someone is in a
'same sex' relationship? Is Police State Blighty that bad these days?
Next thing you know, it'll be arbitrary arrest, abolition of the right to
silence and more CCTV cameras than any country on earth.

    Oh, hang on...

  6. It is the gay mafia. The church and gummint (tories in particular) are so
shit scared of being outed that they will do anything the poofs ask of
them and poofs are, like the wimmin before them, asking for special
privileges. Which is why we have to deal with all this shit. It is not
going to be a problem forever, as soon as the wogs work out that they are
less important in the grand scheme of things than even poofs they will
start getting fractious and life can return to some degree of normality.

There is a long running repository of such stories here where
    you can gauge how lucky or otherwise you are ;

Heh. Had the following discussion with L yesterday after she cycled her
    son to school:

L: How far is it from my house to the school?

Me: One-point-nine miles according to Google Maps.

L: How many points are there in a mile?

    Me: <whilst boggling> err... ten.

    L: OK so it's two-point-eighteen miles there & back.

    Bless.

Well, I read it as "two-point-eighteen" being meant as "two whole miles
and eighteen tenths of miles", and not "two-point-one-eight miles"

Obviously two rhetorical questions because, as everyone knows, you already
    know everything.

Two point one eight, but definitely *not* point eighteen, may be technically
    correct although I doubt it.

Arguably, most of the point of a civil partnership is that the state
knows about it (as distinct from a relationship, same sex or otherwise).
