"we don't drive, so apart from the occasional bus, train is our only
    transport"

We really should stop people like this breeding.

  3. Surely we should encourage them. Keeps the roads nice and clear as they
stand on rain-drenched draughty platforms waiting for their cancelled
    train.

    I've had this brilliant idea.
We round them up into cattle cars and take them to these, errr, "Holiday
    Camps"

Like Butlins, only less torture, but you never leave.

  5. Why waste the money? Let them carry on in their funny little ways. It's
cheap and they pay for Sweller's Jag.

thinking about Simes and Hog wearing waistcoats and bowler hats has
nearly put me off my dinner[1], but it was worth it.
that's the worst bit about Usenet. Or life. Don't talk to me about
    life.

[1] got some roe-less queen scallops doing nothing in the fridge
except calling me to saute them in some Sauterne and tarragon and
shove them down my cake-hole - it has to be done

  11. Just re-reading HHGG. I've promised myself that I'll read the whole
trilogy this time (all 5 parts). I don't think my other current read is
going to get in the way http://tinyurl.com/mup98d

    Point of order, chair!

    That hasn't happened for *months*.

I think the old bugger's gone and grown up on me.

I have already made the greatest contribution to the fight against climate
change that I can make: I have decided not to breed. Now quit bugging me and
go and talk to the Catholics.
