My favourite is still "furious cycling"

 

Oh it gets better.

I'd stopped off outside where I used to live, which had double yellows
along the road. I was collecting something see, something large, so
figured I'd be OK. I popped inside to find no fucker at home, so the
chances of hefting a large piece of furniture were out. Cursing, I left
the house only to find the local resident parking nazi writing out a
ticket.

Being very young and naive at that time, I figured I could reason with
the gentlemen. After a few minutes of futility, I decided to go with the
perceived wisdom down the local: that unless they slap the ticket on the
vehicle, you is fine, innit. So I jumped in the car, started up and
went to drive away.

Little Hitler[1] stepped in front of the car before I started moving,
and blocked my progress. I figured that running him over could only be
a bad thing, so smacked it in reverse and shot back up the road to the
nearest junction, leaving, in my wake, an apoplectic old **** waving his
ticket book and shouting furiously as he ran up the road to try and
catch me. The local nosey old bag across the street came out and was
pissing herself laughing, which didn't exactly help the man's mood.

I drove off laughing, thinking I had won.

One week later, I'm down the nick explaining myself.

Yeah, dunno why, it quite happily did the "spring forward/fall back"
bit, then when I got in tonight, it'd springed a bit early. On further
investigation, me NTP settings had flown South for the winter. Should
all be fine and dandy again and I *DO NOT* owe anyone a drink!
