Right, I've found me map (Michelin #306)

    Where're we going?

On the Saturday, not "where's the hotel?".

Four countries by teatime back on the menu?

    <remembers>

WUN, are we still arseing around with CDs?

Oh yes! Panzer Division UKRM... MARCH!
Hmm... Not sure. The CD seems to be "skipping" a fair bit. I've got the
GPS/PDA hooked up, so I can play MP3's (hint, hint).

My original plan was to bugger off through Belgium into Germany and then
Luxembourg: four countries before lunch. Then Sarah decided she and I would
have a gentle bimble up the Meuse. Now, it's starting to look like she may
not be fit in time for next weekend.

    So, game on.

    How about:

Hotel>La Chappelle on the D977, then N89/83 to Florenville, north on
the N85 to Neufchateau, N40 SE to Arlon, via Habay.

From Arlon, take N844 to the Lux border, then the N8 all the way to
Mersch, north on the N7 to Diekirch, then the N17/19/10 along the
banks of the Sure through Echternacht all the way to Mondorf.

Turn left into Germany, left again, up to Trassem, south to Metnach
and Merzig, before heading back into frogland, and taking the N52/43
from Thionville to Sedan for a well-earned beer.

    260 miles, allegedly.

I picked out as many green ones as I could.

    Whatever you say, Swami.

I obviously need to go map shopping tomorrow. Any recommendations?

Not Michelin #306, cos it don't do Benelux or DE.

AA Series 11 might do. I thought I already had one. BICFIA.

I have GPS maps for the whole lot, but I'm taking paper ones as well.
But only because you can't get them on vellum any more.

Coo, almost makes me wish I was going - especially as I have a bike that
could almost do 260 miles on one tank now.

Though if it's foggy and raining the "outstanding beauty" bits might be all
    a bit.. samey.

Well, it at least means I wasn't wasting my time printing out Platy's
