    I'm sure Yamaha make very pleasing motorcycles but the more discerning
    rider (such as Chris) would obviously prefer the superior levels of
    power available with a ZX10R.

    The sort of power you can only use on the track and then for 2% of the
    time?

    Yes, I can see your point.

    Mine's better looking, too.

    Oh, and cheaper!

    Why are you selling it then? I thought you really liked the bike.

    <Sigh>

    I'm very tempted to sell it, put it that way..

    Basically, 80%-90% of my riding is done in London at sub 60mph-80-mph
    speeds. It's an incredibly frustrating experience riding the R1 because
    for one I hardly get out of second gear (and when I do I have to put the
    brakes on *again*) and secondly, at such slow speeds it is an incredibly
    uncomfortable bike.

    Don't get me wrong, I love it to bits but I just can't utilise the
    power. Even at 6 in the am on a Saturday morning the most I can get out
    of it is 165mph - That's not because it won't go faster, it had another
    gear), it's just the roads aren't built for it round here.

    Sad, I know, but true :(

    I'm going to have another go on the XT660X I tried at the weekend. I
    didn't immediately get on with it and I probably still won't but the R1
    is just too fucking much for day-to-day riding an for that (d-t-d
    riding), I've got the ratbike.

    <Shrug>

    See, I never fucking use it. I did more mileage between January and
    March that the rest of the year combined.

    Thanks, but no thanks. Should a change be required, I'll probably stay
    in the Kawasaki Klique.

    It is my intention to take it to Mallory at the end of the month. If
    you're going to be there you can HAG or if I've still got it, at the
    EOSM.

    **** me, I didn't realise that your HAGM on the Zephyr had affected you that
    much.

    About £1500 should get you a nice A4, maybe even a B1 if you're lucky.
