    Oh yes, I forgot about this one.

    I took advice from our union solicitor. Their advice was that the
    painted white arrow with the 'turn right' wording has the same
    compulsion as the blue sign with white arrow indicated in the penalty
    charge notice.

    They also advised that I could challenge the PCN on these grounds but
    as, in their opinion, the offence had still been committed LB of
    Haringey may well not accept this challenge and I would then have to go
    through all the appeals process which would take up lots of my time and
    effort and at the end could end up me paying £120.

    I concluded that it just wasn't worth all the effort for £60 so I just
    sent 'em a cheque and moved on.

    I would but I wasn't going into town. I was on my way home from driving
    one for 8 hours and I had to call in at Islington first - tube would
    have taken over 2 hours to do what I needed to do.

    That's interesting advice, *another* thing to keep on your guard for
    in London. Moving on is probably best, you can brood over these things
    for ages if you let them get to you.
